I have over 20 years of experience teaching high school and college students English, literature, film, media studies and composition. I earned my PhD in English with a certificate in Media Arts + Practices at the University of Southern California in May 2023, a Master of Arts in Literature from American University in 2006, and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Art History from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 2002. While at USC, I taught for the English department, the Writing Program and the Cinematic Arts Media Lab. Additionally, I have extensive experience teaching post-secondary composition and literature at the College of Southern Nevada and American University.
